What is E.I.F.S.?

E.I.F.S. (known as Exterior Insulation and Finish System) is a multi-layered plastering technology that is not only durable and weather-resistant as a building material, but is also highly energy efficient. Like stucco, E.I.F.S. is used as a decorative coating for walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces.

E.I.F.S is applied through multiple layers, including:

A water-resistive barrier (WRB)

Insulation board

Fiberglass mesh

Reinforced base coat

A finish coat

E.I.F.S., as an alternative to stucco, provides:
